Our house is the perfect address for those seeking peace. But also wine lovers, culture lovers, bon vivants and active vacationers will be happy with us.
Dresden, Meissen and Radebeul offer numerous museums, theaters and shops. The Elbe Cycle Path in the immediate vicinity is one of the most beautiful in Europe and renowned vineyards and winegrowers look forward to your visit from Meissen to Pillnitz.
The imposing Königstein Fortress or the idyllic Weesenstein Castle invite you to visit, the Saxon Switzerland lures with far-reaching hiking trails, the castle garden in Pillnitz has its famous ancient camellia and wine growing can be found on all the sunny Elbe slopes …
Radebeul is a wine, villa and garden city, which today is one of the wealthiest residential areas in the Dresden area.
Because of its attractive location in the Lößnitz it was also called Saxon Nice, dating back to a saying of the Saxon King Johann in 1860. Radebeul is located between the former royal city of Dresden and the former bishopric in Meissen and between the Elbe in the south and the vineyards in the north.
We especially recommend a ride on the „Lößnitzdackel“, the steam-powered narrow-gauge railway that runs from Radebeul Ost (2.7 km) via Moritzburg to Radeburg and is not only an experience for technically interested guests.Afterwards you can end the day in Radebeul district Altkötzschenbroda, a village green with old houses and cozy wine bars.
In addition, the small town of Moritzburg (8 km) is worth a visit. The best known is certainly „Castle Moritzburg“ by King Augustus the Strong with almost original preserved rooms, which was also the filming location for the well-known Christmas classic „Three hazelnuts for Cinderella“ and every year in winter with an exhibition for film lures. In September, the annual Stallion Parade attracts thousands of visitors, but also a carriage ride through the enchanting landscape around the castle and the Moritzburg ponds and the game reserve with mackerel, red and fallow deer, wolves, moose and lynx are worthwhile destinations in and around Moritzburg.
Art & Culture
For culture lovers, we are happy to organize tickets for important music festivals such as the Moritzburg Festival or the Dresden Music Festival.
Take advantage of our cooperation with the museums and cultural institutions in the vicinity and visit during your stay, for example, the Karl May Museum in Radebeul (1.3 km), the State Art Collections in Dresden (8.5 km) or even a performance the Semperoper (8.4 km).
Wine & Pleasure
Especially attractive is a visit with us for connoisseurs and wine lovers.
In addition to our restaurant „Atelier Sanssouci“ and our own wine events in the restaurant and wine cellar we recommend wine lovers and connoisseurs a visit to the Saxon State Wine Estate Schloss Wackerbarth (4.8 km) and the wineries of Klaus Zimmerling in Pillnitz (24.7 km) and Martin Schwarz in Meissen (15 km). We are happy to organize guided wine tours as well as visits to other wineries and wine tastings.
Active & Vital
Get away from everyday life! Give yourself moments of tranquility and be pampered by the professional treatments in Sigrid Klein’s „Oasis of Beauty and Health“ (6 km).
From the „Carefree Health Day“ to the Radebeul Wine Wellness Day „Gutedel“ – Sigrid Kleint focuses on the effect of natural minerals, high-quality oils and the power of wine.
For those who are more active we recommend a trip on the Elbradweg – one of the most popular cycling routes in Europe, which is only a stone’s throw away from our hotel. For this – or for the trip with a historic paddle steamer to Meissen or Dresden – we are happy to provide you filled picnic backpacks.
